Blackouts and Driving

Blackouts are of great concern with regard to Fitness to Drive.

If you have had a blackout you should not drive until you have seen your doctor. Depending on the cause of the blackout and the need for further investigations a minimum non-driving period may apply.

Regulatory authorities, on advice from professional bodies, have drawn up guidelines to advise doctors when assessing fitness to drive. Your doctor can discuss these with you.
